The Wilmington Model Flying Club consists of over 50 members dedicated to expanding the practice and increasing the skill of model builders and fliers. WMFC is a club of active members from early teens to the retired. Always anxious to welcome new people to the sport, there are organized training programs for new pilots and a wealth of advice for beginning builders and fliers. We welcome both spectators and those interested in learning and/or increasing their piloting and model building skills.
The WMFC is a AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) sanctioned club. This means
that strict, nationally recognized guidelines are used by our members for design,
safety and training in order to preserve the attraction, enjoyment and safety
of all.
Club Meeting Times
Meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 am at the flying field
